Bernard Richard Meirion (Bernard) Darwin (1876–1961)

Essayist and sports writer. Son of Francis Darwin. Golf correspondent of The Times, 1907–53. Played in the British amateur golf championships (semi-finalist 1909, 1921); captained the British Walker Cup team in America in 1922. Captain of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, 1934.
