Charles Giles Bridle Daubeny (1795–1867)

Chemist and botanist. Professor of chemistry, Oxford University, 1822–55; professor of botany, 1834–67; and of rural economy, from 1840. An active supporter of the British Association for the Advancement of Science; vice-president, 1847, president, 1856. FRS 1822.
