George Packenham Despard (1813–81)

Clergyman. Secretary of the Patagonian Mission Society, and of the Bristol and Clifton Clerical Association. Missionary in Tierra del Fuego, based on Keppel Island, 1856–61. In the 1860s, emigrated to Australia, where he was minister of St Paul’s, Sandhurst, until 1881.
