Henri Apatowsky (1823/4–92)

Russian-born surgeon. Lived in France and worked as a doctor during the Franco-Prussian War and its aftermath; moved to London before 1872 after losing all his possessions. A regular reader at the College of Surgeons. Reported to have committed suicide.
