René Joachim Henri (Henri) Dutrochet (1776–1847)

French physician and natural scientist. Military medical officer, 1808–9. Corresponding member of the Académie des sciences, 1819; full member, 1831. Wrote works on plant physiology; noted for his research on osmosis and diffusion.
