Michael Pakenham Edgeworth (1812–81)

Irish botanist. Son of Richard Lovell Edgeworth (1744–1817; ODNB), Irish landowner and friend of Erasmus Darwin, and his fourth wife, Frances Anne Beaufort (1769–1867). Collected plants in Aden, India, and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Appointed commissioner for the settlement of Punjab, 1850.
