Wilhelm Ferdinand Erichson (1808–49)

German entomologist. Professor extraordinarius and assistant at the zoological museum, University of Berlin. Edited, after 1841, the Archiv für Naturgeschichte. Worked on the Staphylinidae, devising a new classificatory system that he published in 1839–40.
