Heinrich Robert Göppert (1800–84)

German botanist. Lecturer in medicine and botany at the University of Breslau, 1827–31; professor extraordinarius, 1831–9; professor from 1839. Studied plant physiology and fossil trees. One of the founders of German palaeobotany.
