Charles Stuart Gregson (1817–99)

Shipyard worker, plumber, and entomologist. Worked as a painter in the Liverpool shipyards. Collected British Lepidoptera and was the author of numerous articles on entomology. Active in a number of local scientific societies, including the Northern Entomological Society and the East Lancashire Natural History Society.
