James Duncan Hague (1836–1908)
American mining engineer. Studied at the Lawrence Scientific School of Harvard University, 1854; Göttingen, 1855–6; Freiburg (school of mines), 1856–8. Chemist, South Sea expedition, 1859–61. Superintendent, Albany & Boston Copper Mine, 1863. Joined the Geological Survey of the Fortieth Parallel in 1867. Consulting mining engineer, 1871–1908.
