Hermann Carl Gottlieb Herbst (c. 1830–1904)

Botanist and nurseryman. Director of the Botanic Gardens, Rio de Janeiro. Probably established the nursery company, Herbst & Co., Rio de Janeiro. Nurseryman in Richmond, Surrey, c. 1864–84.
