Charles Hodge (1797–1878)

American conservative Presbyterian theologian. Instructor in Greek and Hebrew at the theological seminary at Princeton, 1820. Ordained, 1821. Professor of Oriental and biblical literature, Princeton, from 1822. Founder, Princeton Review; editor to 1871. Author of influential Presbyterian theological works.
