Frederick William Hope (1797–1862)

Clergyman, entomologist and print collector. Curate of Frodesley, Shropshire, 1823. President of the Entomological Society, 1835–6, 1839-40 and 1845-6. Founded a professorship of zoology at Oxford University in 1849, and in the same year donated his entomological and other collections. FRS 1834.
