William Ince (1825–1910)

Theologian and classicist. Ordained deacon, 1850; priest, 1852. Tutor, Exeter College, Oxford, 1850. Junior proctor, 1856–7; select preacher before the university, 1859, 1870, and 1875; Oxford preacher at the Chapel Royal, Whitehall, 1860–2. Appointed regius professor of divinity, Oxford, and canon of Christ Church, 1878.
