George William Johnson (1802–86)

Barrister and writer on gardening. Barrister, Gray’s Inn, 1836. Professor of moral and political economy at the Hindu College, Calcutta, 1839–42. Founded the Cottage Gardener (later Journal of Horticulture) in 1848.
