John Scott Keltie (1840–1927)

Editor, journalist, and geographer. Studied at St Andrews and Edinburgh universities; trained for the United Presbyterian ministry. Worked for W. and R. Chambers in Edinburgh from 1861; worked for Nature in London from 1871. Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, 1883. Knighted, 1918.
