Edward Emanuel Klein (1844–1925)

Slavonian-born histologist and bacteriologist. MD, Vienna. Emigrated in 1871 to Britain, where he worked at the Brown Animal Sanatory Institute and lectured at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. Professor of bacteriology at the College of State Medicine, London, 1889–91. Naturalised British, 1887. FRS 1875.
