Thomas Andrew Knight (1759–1838)

Botanist and horticulturist. Correspondent to the Board of Agriculture from 1795. President of the Horticultural Society of London, 1811–38. Interested in crossbreeding and hybridisation; conducted research on the phenomenon now known as geotropism. FRS 1805.
