Charles Johnson Maynard (1845–1929)

American taxidermist, collector, and naturalist. Carried out work for the Boston Society of Natural History, and provided leading ornithologists with specimens. Travelled widely in the United States. Published numerous articles and books despite having no formal scientific training.
