Richard Henry Meade (1814–99)

Surgeon. Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons, 1845. Practised medicine in London and lectured on botany at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Succeeded to a surgical practice at Bradford in 1840. Wrote papers on entomology; studied Diptera and was an authority on the Muscidae.
