William Moorcroft (1765?–1825)

Veterinary surgeon in the East India Company, 1808. Crossed the Himalayas, 1811–12; explored Lahore and Kashmir, 1819–22; visited Bokhara, 1825. Collected plants with Nathaniel Wallich in Nepal.
