Hunter Nicholson (1834–1901)

Naturalist and editor. Practised law in Columbia, Tennessee, 1857–61. Established and edited the Dixie Farmer. Professor of agriculture, East Tennessee University, Knoxville, 1869; later professor of natural history and geology.
