Charles William Peach (1800–86)

Naturalist. Worked for the mounted coastguard, 1824–45; customs official, 1845–53; comptroller at Wick from 1853. Published extensive papers on the marine zoology and palaeontology of Devon, Cornwall, and Scotland.
