Henry Alfred Pitman (1808–1908)

Physician. Known for his administrative talents. Assistant physician, St George’s Hospital, London, 1846; physician and lecturer, 1857; consulting physician, 1866. Registrar, Royal College of Physicians, 1858–89. FRCP 1845. Knighted 1883.
