Johann Albert Heinrich Reimarus (1729–1814)

German physician and naturalist. Studied pharmacy in Göttingen in 1752; studied medicine in Leiden in 1753; in Edinburgh in 1754. Met Erasmus Darwin (1731–1802) while at Edinburgh; studied with him in London in 1755. Returned to Leiden in 1756 and graduated in 1757. Set up a medical practice in Hamburg.
