Friedrich Rolle (1827–87)

German geologist, palaeontologist, and natural history dealer. Assistant at the Kaiserlich-königliche Hofmineralien-Cabinett, Vienna, 1857–9; associate, 1859–62. Returned to Bad Homburg in 1862. Author of Ch. Darwin’s Lehre von der Entstehung der Arten und ihre Anwendung auf die Schöpfungsgeschichte (1863).
