Maximilien Henri Saint-Simon, marquis de Saint-Simon (1720–99)

French–Dutch soldier and horticulturist. Cultivator of hyacinths. Engaged in the French–Italian wars as aide-de-camp to the Prince de Conti; retired to his estate in the Netherlands, Nieuw Amelisweerd, near Utrecht, in 1758.
