Eduard Schwarz (1831–62)

Austrian physician and ethnologist. MD, Vienna 1856. Ship’s doctor on the Novara scientific expedition, 1857–9. Took systematic anthropometric measurements (with instruments he invented) of different races encountered on the voyage.
