David Stevenson (1815–86)

Civil engineer. Managing partner of Stevenson engineering firm. Appointed by the Admiralty and Department of Woods and Forests to report on railway, harbour, and sanitary schemes in Scotland, England, and Ireland, 1846. Engineer to the northern lighthouse board, 1853.
