Andrew John Stuart, 6th Earl Castlestewart (1841–1921)

Civil servant. Matriculated at St John’s, Cambridge, 1860. Joined the Indian Civil Service, 1861. Served in the Madras Presidency. Judge at Godoweri, 1879. Became blind. Retired in 1882. Succeeded his cousin as sixth earl and viscount and fourteenth Baron Castlestewart in 1914.
