Otto Martin Torell (1828–1900)

Swedish zoologist and geologist. Wrote works on the Scandinavian drift deposits and the glacial geomorphology of the Arctic. Professor of geology at the University of Lund, 1862, 1864–6; professor of zoology from 1866. Chief of the geological survey of Sweden, 1871–97.
