Alexander Murray Tulloch (1803–64)

Army officer. Joined the forty-fifth regiment in Burma in 1826; colonel, 1854; major-general, 1859. Campaigned for army reform. Invited to investigate the commissariat system in the Crimean campaign, 1854. Knighted, 1857.
