Dawson William Turner (1815–85)

Philanthropist and education writer. Son of Dawson Turner; uncle of Joseph Dalton Hooker. Ordained deacon, 1840. Headmaster of the Royal Institution School, Liverpool, 1851–85. Benefactor of London hospitals.
