Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st baronet (1821–94)

Industrialist and politician. Entered Trinity College, Cambridge, 1840. Became a partner in the family copper-smelting business, 1842. MP for Truro, 1852–7; Glamorgan, 1857–85; Swansea district, 1885–93. Fellow of the Geological Society. Created baronet 1882; became Baron Swansea, 1893.
