Georg Heinrich Otto (Otto) Volger (1822–97)

German seismologist and mineralogist. Professor of natural history, University of Zurich, 1851–6; Senckenberg Institut, Frankfurt am Main, 1856–60; taught mineralogy and geology at the Freie Deutsche Hochstift, Frankfurt am Main, 1859–81. Prominent figure in scientific and political circles in Frankfurt am Main.
