Edward Walford (1823–97)

Compiler. Ordained priest in 1847. Edited Once a Week, 1859–65; Gentleman’s Magazine, 1866–8. Engaged in the publication of several biographical and genealogical works including County families of the United Kingdom (1860) and Windsor peerage (1890). In later life, established a reputation as an antiquary.
