Samuel Bochart (1599–1667)

French biblical scholar. Pastor of a Protestant church in Caen. Published Geographia Sacra (1646 and 1651) and Hierozoicon (1663), which treats of the animals of Scripture. His works were published together as Bochart’s Opera omnia in 1675.
