William Aitchison (1797–1873)
Scottish livestock farmer. Of Linhope and Brieryhill, near Hawick in the Scottish borders. Involved with the Hawick Farmers’ Club and West Teviotdale Agricultural Society. First president of the Teviotdale Farmers’ Club, 1859–73. At Linhope, 1851.
