Thomas Wright (1809–84)

Scottish physician and palaeontologist. Medical officer for Cheltenham and the surrounding districts, and surgeon to Cheltenham General Hospital. Formed an extensive collection of Jurassic fossils. President of the Literary and Philosophical Association of Cheltenham. FRS 1879.
