J. Gonzales Zarco (fl. 1420)

Portuguese navigator. Travelled on the Ceuta expedition of 1415. Navigated the coast of Africa with Tristan Vaz in 1417. Claimed Madeira for the Portuguese crown in 1419 and was granted part of the island in recognition of his service.
