Enrico Hillyer Giglioli (1845–1909)

Italian zoologist. Born in London to an Italian father and an English mother. Studied at Genoa and Pavia, and at the School of Mines in London. Became friends with Filippo De Filippi, whom he accompanied on the Magenta expedition, a circumnavigation of the globe. Professor of vertebrate zoology, Florence, 1869.
