Frances Elinor (Elinor) Colvile (1857–1919)

Eldest daughter of John Peter and Henrietta Chichele Grant of Rothiemurchus, Scotland, and sister of Jane Maria Strachey. Married James William Colvile in Calcutta in 1857. They returned to London in 1859, and their home became a meeting place for writers and artists.
