Mark Ansell (1851–94)

Servant. Born in Cudham, Kent, son of Robert and Phoebe Ansell. Groom at Down House, 1871. Married Esther Parslow, who had also been employed at Down House, and was the daughter of Joseph Parslow’s younger brother, John, in London in 1878. Probably employed as a coachman in Norwood, Surrey, 1881; in Highbury, Middlesex, in 1891.
