Anton Ausserer (1843–89)

Austrian naturalist and arachnologist. Teacher, Felkirsch, 1867; Innsbruck 1869. Obtained a doctorate in 1872; professor at a lycée at Graz, 1874. Travelled in Sicily, 1880–1; Egypt, 1889–7. Specialised in the taxonomy of mygalomorph spiders.
