Edmond George Petty- (Edmond)Fitzmaurice (1846–1935)

Politician and historian. Son of Henry Thomas Petty-Fitzmaurice, earl of Shelburne. BA, Cambridge (Trinity College), 1868. Entered Parliament, 1868. Parliamentary under-secretary at the Foreign Office, 1883. Retired, 1885–98, due to ill health. Returned to Parliament, 1898–1909.
