Auberon Edward William Molyneux Herbert (1838–1906)

Politician and author. Son of the third earl of Carnarvon. Private secretary to Sir Stafford Northcote, president of the Board of Trade. Liberal MP for Nottingham, 1870–4. Later a disciple of Herbert Spencer. Wrote on politics. Present as an observer during the American Civil War and the Franco-Prussian War.
