George Murray Humphry (1820–96)

Surgeon and anatomist. Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, 1841. Lectured on human anatomy, Cambridge University, 1847–66; professor of human anatomy, 1866–83; of surgery from 1883. Founder and co-editor of the Journal of Anatomy and Physiology, 1867. Knighted, 1891. FRS 1859.
