Samuel Leonard Abbot (1818–1904)

American physician and ornithologist. Graduated from Harvard College medical school. An important physician in the early years of Massachusetts General Hospital. Corresponding and honorary secretary of the Boston Society for Natural History, 1839–1904. Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
