Isaac Lea (1792–1886)

American naturalist and publisher. President, Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, 1858–63; American Association for the Advancement of Science, 1860. Did extensive work on freshwater molluscs, publishing a series of thirteen volumes on the genus Unio.
