Matthias Eugen Oscar Liebreich (1839–1908)

German chemist and medical doctor. Studied medicine in Königsberg, Tübingen, and Berlin; qualified in 1865. Head of chemistry at the Virchow Institute, 1868. Professor of pharmacology at the University of Berlin, 1871.
